my life. Looking back, I am now thankful for the hard times and
difficulties God allowed me to walk through in my younger
years, because I have learned to rely only on Him. At times He
is all I had. Many times in our lives, it’s through the hard days
that we are refined to look and love more like Jesus. The hard
days chip away at our rough edges, our pride, and our
independent ways. I am grateful now that God has not rescued
me from all my pain, disappointments, and sadness, because it
has been through those experiences that I have been able to
grow stronger in my faith. The longer I live, the more
opportunities I have to learn to trust God based on my past
experiences with Him. With each opportunity my life becomes a
living testimony, a way to give glory to God and help
encourage those who are in tough seasons of their lives to
trust Him.
