Neither Peggy nor her parents were aware that Diana asked
Jesus to come into her heart that night. Diana kept it just
between God and her. From Peggy and her parents’
perspective, God didn’t do anything that night in that poor
child’s life.


Peggy had a mom who walked with God and knew the
importance of being in God’s Word, spending time in prayer
and being sensitive to simple requests, such as, “Mom can we
bring Diana to church with us tonight?” Because of her own
walk with God, Peggy’s mom influenced her daughter to be
mission minded and to reach out to those who might not be 100
percent like her, those who come from broken homes or who
have broken hearts, to extend the invitation regardless and put
the result in God’s hands.


The story you have just read is my story, and if you have been
a part of Good Morning Girls, this is your story, too, because
that little girl, Diana, is my mom. God began my family’s
spiritual legacy with a simple invitation. Little did Peggy and
her mom know what God was starting through them when they
took that little girl to church one Sunday night. To them
nothing happened. They did not see the change that had taken
place in Diana’s heart. They did not witness the fact that God
used them to steer a whole family, who was once far from God,
to Him, and all through a simple invitation from a child.


God uses ordinary women and children and does extraordinary
things through their lives, through their simple acts of
obedience. An invitation was extended and accepted because
of a mom who walked with God and taught her daughter the
importance of sharing God’s free gift of salvation. Thousands
