Handout 2: Project Description
Your Project
- Choose a topic from your Unit of the training program that you think is important and that you would like
to encourage other members of the whole group to remember and use. - Review the topic to remind yourself and your team members what was important about this topic.
- Decide what you want to share with everyone and decide how you want to present it.
- Your final presentation at our next session should be no more than 10 minutes long.
- Your presentation should include:
A summary of the topic
An explanation of why it is important
Advice for how or when it should be used in the future - Be sure to use the skills and knowledge of everyone in your group so each person is included in both the
preparation and the presentation. - Follow the steps of the Project Cycle:
Identifying
What is most important about our topic?
Why do we think it is important?
What about the topic do we want to share with our friends in our presentation?
Planning
What is an interesting way to share our topic in a presentation?
Who will do what in the presentation?
What needs to be done to get ready?
Doing
Who is going to do what?
Reviewing
How well is it going?
What else has to happen for us to be ready for the next session?
Celebrating
Are we happy with our presentation?
Did the other groups like our presentation?
