Rationale: Identifying and valuing self-confidence are elements of a
positive identity and assets in youth development. Youth with
a positive identity and self-confidence and who make positive
self-statements are more likely to engage in positive
behaviors and avoid negative, destructive behaviors.
Target
Audience:
In-school and out-of-school youth who have completed at
least primary education
Facilitator
Expertise:
Peace Corps Volunteers and local counterparts who have
been trained in how to use and adapt the Life Skills and
Leadership Manual.
