Josh Golsen, Senior Producer, AvatarLabs
Josh is an award-winning producer at AvatarLabs (Encino, California) and has
produced digital campaigns for films including Avatar, Star Trek, WALL-E and
Superbad. Before joining the marketing world in 2007, Josh developed film and
television projects for Warner Bros Pictures, New Line Cinema and Artisan
Entertainment. He also created and served as Executive Producer on the
episodic television series CollegeTown, USA for National Lampoon. Josh hails
from Oklahoma City and attended Indiana University in Bloomington. He
moonlights as a screenplay writer and occasionally graces the stage at a local
music venue in Los Angeles.
Chris Chung, Associate Creative Director
Chris has slipped through the settings of Upstate New York, Hong Kong, Taiwan
and The University of Michigan. Past co-workers have seen him loitering at
Bleu22, Exopolis and Trailer Park. Chris has art directed campaigns for films
including Avatar, Sherlock Holmes and Star Trek, and currently holds the
position of Associate Creative Director and Asian-Guy-With-Glasses #3 at
AvatarLabs in Encino, California. He likes bacon.
Rex Cook, CEO and Executive Creative Director
Award-winning designer and creative director Rex Cook founded AvatarLabs in- With more than 13 years of experience in creating A-list title treatments,
motion graphics and movie trailers, he has managed a wide variety of high-
profile projects. He designed the theatrical motion logos for Warner Brothers
and Imagine, created trailer graphics for hundreds of major films such as Harry
Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone and Independence Day, and produced the main
titles for dozens of films including Batman Forever and Die Hard 3. As Executive
Creative Director of Avatar, Rex uses the technological and creative expertise
of his hand-picked team of designers and developers to provide inspired and
exceptional solutions for the online and mobile space.
