then gave away each of the 270 bottles
to everyone who’d been important to us
over the years, and finished it off by
having an almighty party!
After some deep digging and historical
rummaging, we discovered that our
building used to be a famous font foundry
back in the day. In 1815, Vincent Figgins
designed the world’s first slab serif font
right here where we work. We found the
story so fascinating, we bought his font
book (4) – it’s quite rare!
We’re a creative agency, so creativity

runs through the veins of all the creatives

in the office. To keep everyone inspired,

we have a monthly creative get-together

called Sidekick Series. The objective is to

put two randomly selected colleagues

together every month, so they can spend

time with each other, then get one pair to

host a creative evening for about two

hours. It’s their job to decide what we do.

To date we’ve had a terrarium-making

class (5), a guided architectural tour of the

Barbican, a candle-making workshop and

a talk by a photographer. What I love

about it is that it’s a group activity – it gets

people together, excited and inspired.
