really — is that when I try to use it as a
camera app, it cannot access my camera’s
secondary camera(s). For example, with
my Huawei P30 Pro, I cannot switch to
the ultra-wide-angle or telephoto lens
when shooting with the app. Neither do I
have any of the advanced features, such
as light-painting mode or HDR (high
dynamic range) mode. Of course, I could
always just set up the lighting to exactly
what I want using the Lume-X app, then
switch to the default camera app to take
the photo.
I used both the Lume Cube and
Lume Cube Air for about two weeks, and
I found them to be much more useful than
I originally thought they would be. They
are very bright, with excellent build quality,and really easy to use. Battery life was also
pretty decent considering the size of the
lights, and the free Lume-X smartphone
app is polished and easy to use.While the smartphone app and all those
features are great, the best thing about
the Lume Cube lights is really how small
and portable they are; I am happy to leave
one or two in my camera bag all the time.
Then, when one day I suddenly want to
use it, I’ll have the Lume Cube with me.You may have heard the phrase: ‘The best
camera is the one you have with you’. I
would say that the best light is the light
