The Hasselblad X1D II 50C combines portability

with the excellent optical quality for which the

brand is renowned. At less than half the weight of a

medium-format DSLR, the mirrorless model packs

an improved 50-megapixel CMOS sensor into a

small footprint.

The camera’s shutter-speed range covers 1/2000s

to 68 minutes, with the ability to capture up to 14

stops of dynamic range. The X1D II 50C achieves

unprecedented detail — from the deepest shadows

to the brightest highlights.

The X1D II 50C offers an improved, high-resolution

rear LCD that is 43 per cent larger than the

X1D’s, offering touch control for all aspects of

the camera’s features, while the new electronic

viewfinder provides bright, crisp viewing, even

under difficult lighting conditions.

Other new improvements include interface

changes for a better user experience, incorporated

GPS, improved JPEG quality, faster start-up time,

plus an increased continuous shooting rate.

Handmade in Sweden, and inspired by the

company’s iconic design heritage, the camera’s

rugged body is milled from aluminium to provide a

durable build and high-end finish.
