PANASONIC LUMIX DMC-G85
We review Panasonic’s new top-of-the-line full-frame
mirrorless model on page 75, but here we look at
something for everyone. The Lumix DMC-G85
provides great performance for those shooting both
stills and video with UHD 4K video recording and
ability to work well in difficult lighting conditions. Its
DSLR-style layout and fully articulated touchscreen
makes it easy to use, and it’s available in a kit along with
a 12–60mm — great if you’re just getting started.
NIKON D850 DSLR
Nikon’s recent efforts have focused on mirrorless, the
Nikon D850 still holds its own as a DLSR. The model
proves that speed and resolution can coexist and ticks all
the boxes for both still and video shooters. It produces
movies in striking full-frame 4K, time-lapse movies
in brilliant 8K, and prolongs exquisite moments with
120p/100p Full HD slow-motion recording. Nikon have
also incorporated ergonomic handling and a dust- and
weather-resistant magnesium-alloy chassis for their
landscape-loving fanbase.
