FUJIFILM X-T3 MIRRORLESS
Late last year, Fujifilm announced the new X-T3, a mirrorless
camera described as a must-have for serious videographers. While
it boasts the classical appearance of all Fujifilm’s previous X-series
cameras, the X-T3 is nearly a complete overhaul of its predecessor
on the inside. Making the interesting decision to stick with a crop
sensor while its competitors opt for full-frame models, Fujifilm
looks to have produced a camera with strong all-round appeal for
still and video shooters alike.
OLYMPUS OMD E-M1X MIRRORLESS
While other camera manufacturers are putting their efforts into
full-frame and medium-format cameras, Olympus are remaining
committed to the Micro Four Thirds system that it developed
alongside Panasonic. The Olympus OMD E-M1X released earlier this
year is aimed at pro sports and action photographers, with its quick
continuous shooting, advanced autofocus system, and great weather-
resistant performance and image stabilization.
PENTAX K-70 DSLR
The compact K-70 is a great all-rounder with impressive multimedia
capabilities and low-light performance. With its 24.24MP APS-C
CMOS sensor and Prime MII image processor, the K-70 can shoot
continuous stills up to 6fps, offer full HD 1080p video recording, and
has a broad sensitivity range up to ISO 20,4800. The weather-resistant
semi-pro construction and in-built image stabilization makes it an
excellent choice for those shooting in challenging environments.
