When spellworking for love, always work with the
goal of "a perfect love for me" in mind, never a specific
person. Controlling another person and forcing him/her
through magick to love you is very bad for your spiritual
health, as well as your mental and emotional well-being.
Not only are you limiting your happiness, which could
be greater with someone else, but you are also limiting
the opportunity to have the very best person for you
come into your life. I have never seen a love spell
directed at a specific person ever turn out happily. The
forced person resents the control and will eventually
break away.
The same principle applies when doing spellwork for
justice or protection, although here it is safe to mention
names if you are absolutely certain. You must not,
however, specify punishment. When the person in
question pays the price for her/his misdeeds, you do not
want to be in the messy middle of it and possibly even
entangled in her/his fate. Direct the spell's energy
toward having the guilty party's own actions bring
justice down upon her/him. Let the guilty one be caught
and punished by her/his own words and deeds. In this
manner, you are not involved in any way, yet have
helped the scales of justice be balanced. Transfer all
your hatred, sadness, and strong emotions into candle
magick. In this way, you can manifest your deepest
desires and rid yourself of unhealthy emotional and
mental turmoil, which will be changed into positive
energy. After all, the best revenge is to live a good and
prosperous life.
