work on that first. Then, go on to another type of spell
to manifest a different desire or need. You need to keep
your energy centered on one thing at a time, or the
spell's energy will be scrambled and the magick will
dissipate before manifesting anything.
For the best results, time your rituals to the phases of
the moon. For even more success, use both the correct
moon phase and a particular day of the week that
corresponds to your desire. The dedicated magicians
often go so far as to time spells to a certain planetary
hour on a certain day (see this page).
Remember, candle magick does not bring
instantaneous results. It takes time for the opportunities
to come that will manifest your desires.
Colors
Colors are very important in candle-burning magick.
However, some people have been taught to be
prejudiced against certain hues. If, for example, you are
not comfortable with black candles, substitute a dark
blue one. Black, however, is not an evil color and
definitely has its place in magick. It is the most powerful
color for absorbing negative vibrations and protecting.
White candles can be substituted for any color, except
magenta. White, though, is not as powerful for some
spells as colored candles are. To read about the

Astral or Zodiac Colors
Here, as with other candle colors, lists vary from writer
to writer, so I have given choices for each sign. If the
color given for your astrological sign does not appeal to
you, choose a color that does.
