Stones
When using stones to amplify your candle magick, there
are two ways to choose them. You may use the general
description by color to choose the stones you need, or
you may use the more specific list by magickal
description.
Stones do not need to be faceted, fancy, or expensive
to work. Stones found in a natural state or tumbled until
smooth can be just as effective as expensive ones.
There are certain stones that can be used with any
candle burning. Clear quartz crystal is so powerful and
all embracing that you can substitute it for other stones
or add it to groupings of other stones to amplify their
energy. Fluorite also amplifies the energies of other
stones, regardless of its color. Carnelian will speed up
the manifestation of your desire. Lodestone will help in
any ritual where you are attempting to attract something
into your life. The little-used spectrolite can manifest
results in any situation that may require a "miracle" to
see results.
It is important to wash your stones carefully before
use. A few stones in the following lists should not be
washed with water or put into salt for cleansing. Calcite
is an example of a stone that should not be washed, and
turquoise should not be placed in salt. Also, hold them
in the smoke of frankincense or frankincense and myrrh
