MacGregor Papyrus listed seventy-five different amulets,
the names by which they were known, and their uses.
This information is verified by a list carved on the walls
of the temple at Dendera. This list gives the materials
from which the amulets should be made. The ancient
Egyptians used amulets in specific shapes for certain
results. The following figures illustrate a few of the
talismans and amulets with which you may not be
familiar. Today, most people are familiar with certain
reproductions of ancient Egyptian amulets.
