Divine Source. In this way, the family and patient can
easily enter an altered state of consciousness, thus aiding
any other forms of healing that are being done. These
altars bring a state of peace, calmness, and joy that
relieves stress in all who sit before them.
If you don't have statues of the deities, angels, or
saints for your altar, don't despair. Write the names out
carefully on a white card or piece of paper, and place it

Ancient Healing Deities
ANU Ireland. This Goddess is associated with health and
prosperity.
ANUBIS Egypt. Although this God was primarily the deity
of death and endings, he also has power over protection,
surgery, and hospital stays.
APOLLO Greece. A God of music, Apollo also helps with
healing.
ARTEMIS Greece. This Virgin Huntress Goddess has power
over mental healing.
ASA Kenya. Known as the God of Mercy, this deity helps
one to survive the impossible or insurmountable.
BAST Egypt. Shown as a cat-headed Goddess, she is
associated with healing.
