A
s reported last issue, Apple used the global stage of
WWDC 2019 to showcase the latest version of iOS, but
that wasn’t all because, for the very first time, the iPad
now gets its own special edition of iOS 13, known as iPadOS.
And we’ve been trying them both out. With a bold new look,
major updates to the apps that we use every day, new ways to
protect our privacy and improvements across the entire system,
iOS 13 feels ultra-responsive from the first second you start using
it. And in iPadOS, our Apple tablets now have an operating system
that truly complements the unique qualities of the hardware, giving
our iPads a much more computery feel. And after a few swipes and
taps you start to get a handle on the numerous new features and
enhancements, all of which we will detail over the coming pages.
