Face ID speed was
improved with last year’s
new iPhones and now
Apple has doubled-down
on this by improving the
feature at a software level.
It’s almost invisible now.

Moving towards being a real computer

Access external storage

T

here are two huge
changes in the Files
app that could be
extremely important in the
future. You can now share
folders from iCloud Drive which
is one of the key benefits of
competing services such as
Dropbox. It takes your files
and content to a whole new
collaborative level and greatly
opens up the scope of your
iOS device for real work. Even

better is the ability to access
files from external storage
devices like Flash Drives and
SD cards. The potential for this
is massive when you consider
cameras, computers, phones
and any other device that uses
these accessories because you
will now be able to work on files
that were previously only able
to be used after a laborious
transfer process. iOS is opening
up gradually.
