Import tracks easily from

other Logic projects

H

ow often have you been working on a Logic project
and needed a part you know would work great but is
buried somewhere in another project? The traditional
workaround of opening the other project on top of the current
one and copying and pasting the part can be cumbersome.
Thankfully, there’s an easier content import option within Logic’s
File Browser pane. Not merely limited to browsing for Apple
Loops, the browser also affords direct access to all your Logic
projects and the data they contain, including track content
(regionsandfolders),pluginsandsettings,sends(including
level,routing,anddestinationchannelstrips),Input/Output
assignments,automationandtracknotes.

Two-way street
As well as the method described
here, the File Browser’s Track Import
view can be accessed by going to
File>Import>Logic Projects and using a
standard MacOS file dialogue window
to browse to the required project. Click
‘Import’ and its tracks show up in the
File Browser – the same result as when
the first method is used.
