iCloud

Check connected devices
All your Apple devices should be
connected to iCloud and signed in.
Perhaps one is not and that’s the
problem. To see a list of connected
devices go to appleid.apple.com in
Safari and sign in. Alternatively, open
System Preferences>iCloud>Account
on the Mac and select ‘Devices’.

Get iCloud working again

Stop iCloud sync
You don’t need to
stop permanently, just
temporarily disable all
these functions, restart the
Mac and then return and
enable them. You might
need to do this on the
iPhone at the same time.

Sign out
Signing out is a more drastic
step, but has worked for some
people. Restart and sign back
in. Sign out on the iPhone and
iPad at the same time, then
sign in everywhere again.

Check the status
Before you start trying to fix
iCloud on the Mac, check it is
not a system fault. Open a Safari
window and go apple.com/
support/systemstatus. It will
say if there is a problem.

Clear caches
iCloud may be working on the
Mac, but not on the website.
Visit icloud.com and open
apps then close them. It may
trigger a sync. Also try clearing
Safari’s history and caches.
