Allow locationsharing
Aswellasselectinga contact,youcan
tap‘Message’andsenda privatelink.Either
way,you’llneedto allowGoogleto saveyour
LocationHistorysoit canupdateothers.

Always allow access
To do this, you’ll be prompted to tap ‘Go
To Settings’. This takes you to the Google
Maps settings where you can tap ‘Location’
and select ‘Always’. Return to Google Maps.

Keep sharing
You’ll be informed that you’re sharing
your location. The name of the contacts you’re
sharing with will also be displayed. Tap the ‘X’
icon next to a name to manually stop sharing.

navigatingtoa destinationandtap‘More’

andexactlywhereyouare.

Put in a request
If you want to be able to track
someone else, you can ask
them to share their location with
you. Tap the ‘Request’ button.

Block a contact
If you decide you don’t
want someone to track your
whereabouts in the future,
toggle the switch to off in this
menu or you can tap this three-
dot menu and select ‘Block’.

Add more contacts
Tap this icon and you can grant
more contacts access to your
location. You can determine the
length of time they can continue
tracking you.

Manage who can
track you
You can see which contacts
are able to view your real-time
location at the top of the screen.
Tap one to view the options.
