Flag your emails on

Apple Watch

S

ometimes you receive an important email on your
Apple Watch but you won’t be in a position to
answer it there and then. Rather than close Mail
and make a mental note to come back to the message
only to find it’s now buried within a long list of junk email,
you can make life easier for yourself by flagging it instead.
Flagging up messages allows you to give them your
full attention when you have time to sit down, read and
act upon them, perhaps on your iPhone, iPad or Mac, on
which dealing with emails can feel more comfortable. It also
means important emails don’t become lost since they will
be made available in a special folder.
As well as flagging, you can mark any emails you have
read as unread which can help ensure that you can find
them easier later. It is also possible to delete emails on
your Apple Watch. All of these options combine to give you
great ways of managing your messages straight from your
wrist. Let’s see how it’s done...

Mark important emails so that you can quickly
come back to them later

Step-by-step Keep track of important emails

1

Open Mail app
First things first: open the Mail app on
your Apple Watch and, assuming you have
email accounts synced to your wearable,
select a specific folder or else tap ‘All Inboxes’.

2

Identify an email
Go down the list of your emails and,
when you come across one that you want to
flag and deal with later, simply swipe to the left.
Keep going until you see two options.

3

Select flag icon
As well as a delete button you will also
see an image of a flag. This is the one that you
need to tap and, in doing so, the email will be
marked for easy reference later.
