If the message you are flagging is within a thread, then the entire thread will
be flagged for your later attention.

Manage your Watch-based email

Tailor the Mail app on your Apple Watch to make it
easier to identify important emails

4

Open an email
Alternatively, you can flag an email that
you’ve already opened rather than having to
close it first and swipe. In this case, start by
simply hard-pressing on the screen.

5

Choose the flag
You’ll see an extra option: the ability
to mark emails as unread – another way
to manage (it appears by swiping right in a
message list too). Prefer flagging? Tap the flag.

Findflaggedemails
Anyemailsthatyouhaveflaggedcanbe
found inyourFlaggedmailbox.Theyarealso
identifiedwithinyourmailboxesusinga small

Unflag an email
Just as you can flag an email for
attention, so you can remove that
flag once you’ve dealt with it. Again,
just swipe to the left on an email in
your inbox and you’ll see an icon of a
flag with a line through it. If you open
a flagged email and hard-press the
screen, there will be an option marked
‘Unflag’. Either method will do the job.

Knowledge base

Change the flag
Don’t like having a coloured
blob identifying your flagged
emails and prefer something
more obvious? Tap ‘Flag Style’
and you can change the circle
to an actual flag.

Select mail
providers
You don’t need to access
every email you receive on
your Watch. Tap ‘Include Mail’
and you can select the specific
mail providers and mailboxes
that you wish to view.

Message preview
When deciding which emails
to flag, it can help to see a
decent preview. For this two
lines may be better than one.
You can also select to have no
message preview at all.

Ask before
deleting emails
When you’re flagging emails,
there is a danger that you will
accidentally stab at the Trash
can. Toggle this switch and
you can force the Watch to ask
before deleting emails.
