Accessibility
Your Mac and iOS devices
have a section in System
Preferences or Settings
dedicated to special
needs, such as poor vision
or hearing. Often these
settings can be exploited
to access useful features
quickly, such as a handy
magnifying glass.

Keychain Access
Keychain is the password
management system in
macOS that contains
private keys, certificates
and secure notes, as well
as passwords. Having
passwords stored in
Keychain means that you
don’t have to remember
them all.

QuickTime
Player
QuickTime is Apple’s own
multimedia framework
that is capable of handling
various formats of digital
video, picture, sound and
more. QuickTime Player is a
Mac app that allows you to
play, display and edit your
multimedia files.

I keep getting prompted to enter my iTunes password. I enter it
and then the prompt reappears – can you help? Corrine Mason

1

Open Keychain
Open your Keychain
Access app and then click on
the ‘System Roots’ section in
the top-left corner. Now locate
and highlight the ‘DigiCert High
Assurance EV Root CA’ file.

2

Expand Trust
Double-click on this file
and, in the window that pops
up, expand the ‘Trust’ option
and change ‘When using this
certificate’ to ‘Never Trust’. Now
restart your Mac.

3

Repeat process
Carry out the first two
steps again and then change
the ‘When using this certificate’
option back to ‘Use System
Defaults’. Hopefully this should
sort the problem.
