On your Mac, go to System
Preferences and then click on
the ‘Bluetooth’ pane to see
every previously connected
device listed.

2

Click on the ‘x’
Ensure that Bluetooth is
turned on and then find the
device that is failing to connect.
Highlight the device in the list
and click on the ‘x’ icon.

3

Forget device
Click ‘Remove’ and it
will be removed from the list,
which should resolve whatever
issue was causing the failed
connections in the past.

4

Pair again
Now ensure the device is
pairable and then scroll to the
bottom of the list to locate it
and then click on the ‘Connect’
button to connect it again.

Bluetooth can be fickle technology and from time to
time you may experience connection problems. With so
many wireless technologies floating around near your
Mac it is understandable that problems may occur, but

there is a relatively easy fix that should cure almost all
connectivity problems and it only takes a few seconds
of your time to complete. We’ll guide you through this
simple process here...

I am having trouble connecting my Mac to a Bluetooth speaker. The connection
keeps dropping, which is annoying when listening to music – why? Chris Decker

Tu r n it on
On your Watch, go to
Settings>General>Siri and
then you will see the ‘Raise
To Speak’ option, make
sure that this is turned on
by moving the switch to the
green (on) position.

The old way
The traditional way of
activating Siri on your
Watch is to press the
Digital Crown or say, “Hey
Siri”. It is still worth keeping
the “Hey Siri” option on.

Lift your wrist
The gesture for Raise To
Speak is more deliberate
than the one you use to
see the time. Experiment
with the best position for
raising and speaking.

I have heard there is an option to issue Siri commands just by
raising my Apple Watch. How is this done? Stuart Granger
