intended to make them more liberal. Companies at the
forefront in liberalizing policies to accommodate dual-career
couples are in high-tech industries.^98 It is not surprising that
high-tech industries offer more liberal nepotism rules because
high-tech industries must attract high-quality talent, and will
therefore bypass traditional approaches. Women have
benefited from the progressive policies of such companies and
have made great strides into the managerial ranks of high-tech
firms because these firms have strong needs for talent.^99
