aesthetics and the philosophy of the arts, dance and

has published on French Surrealism, feminism, the 19th
century novel, Hegel, and film, especially the work of
André Bazin. Her current project is a book on the history
and representation of chastity. Before coming to Pratt
she taught for 15 years in the Philosophy Department of
the University of New South Wales.
