is older, has more money, and drives a cool car. Wait a minute! If this girl cares so much about
those things, she was the wrong one for you.
Some people care more about what a person “has” than who a person “is.” If finding
someone who shares your values is important to you (and I hope it is), look for this type of

Hey Terra,
My ex-boyfriend wasn’t very nice to me; in fact, he was abusive. That’s why when we broke
up, I wasn’t too sad about it. But the thing is, I haven’t had a boyfriend since then (almost a
year), and I miss being close to a guy. So whenever I’m lonely (which is often), I think of the
nice memories I have of me and my ex, and I even think about calling him up. But I know
that’s dangerous because of the past abuse. Anyway, I’d like to get over the anger and hurt.
