The Christian leader’s ability to think positively is greatly
influenced by his concept of God. In fact, our goals are in
direct proportion to the size of our God. We never trust God
for more than we think He will do. One of the great tragedies
is that God stands ready to do far more than we can think,
pray, or dream. This is evident when we read, ‘Now glory be to
God who by His mighty power at work within us is able to
do far more than we would ever dare to ask or even dream
of – infi nitely beyond our highest prayers, desires, thoughts,
or hopes’ (Eph. 3:20, LB).^35
Hebrews 11 tells us that it was faith that kept Noah in sync
with God. When the skies were still clear, Noah got on board,
didn’t he?...Faith leads to action...^36
SCARCITY & ABUNDANCE:
Satan always tries to convince the Christian leader or manager
there are not enough resources to accomplish the job. People
involved in resource planning should keep in mind that if the
plans are in accordance with God’s will for the individual and/
or organization, He will provide the resources to accomplish
the activities.^37
Most people are deeply scripted in what I call the Scarcity
Mentality. They see life as having only so much, as though
there were only one pie out there. And if someone were to get
a big piece of the pie, it would mean less for everybody else.
