Renaissance Revival Plaque of Dante
Alber Anker (Swiss 1831-1910)
The rectangular faience plaque painted with a three quarter portrait of the
middle-aged poet, his headed covered in fabric, wearing a brown robe,
reserved against a gold fabric ground of mythological creatures in a scrolling
vine field, mounted in a period mahogany frame.

Dutch Marquetry Fall Front Secretary
Late 18th/Early 19th Century
The rectangular top with an outset molding over an inlaid frieze panel, above
a drop front with a pictorial hunting scene of three equestrian figures and
retrievers in pursuit of a boar, opening to reveal an interior with arch slotted
compartments over two banks of short drawers adored by female term
mounts, above an arrangement of three long drawers raised on spade legs,
overall drawer facie inlaid with grotesque style inlay of twin griffins, raised on
fluted legs.

Renaissance Revival Three Panel Carved Wood Screen
Late 19th Century
The elaborately carved center panel with a shell cornice flanked by twin grif-
fins, over a grotesque mask in a scrolling vine ground, centering a gilt
crowned threaded cartouche shield badge on a velvet ground plaque, over a
wide leafy draped grotesque mask panel and a lower panel with a shell
adorsed by dolphins; the side panels with conforming decoration and car-
touche badges.

The rectangular hood with an arched molded cornice with a rosette raised
on gilt mounted columns enclosing an arched door, the trunk with arched
panel molded door raised on an outstepped bombe base, centering a gilt
metal lenticle, the 14 1/2 inch arched brass dial and chapter ring having
Roman hours and Arabic minutes, subsidiary seconds with sun and moon
aperture, month and day aperture, raised on claw feet, surmounted by two
pairs of gilt and cobalt carved wood figures of celestial trumpeters and fig-
ures holding up globes.

Massive Continental Baroque Style Sixteen Light Brass
Chandelier
In the 17th Century Style, 19th Century
The baluster turned standard on a sphere form corona with a pendant acorn fin-
ial, issuing sixteen upswept scrolling candle arms, each cast with a male musician
mask, a dish form drip pan and a faux candle form light, headed by a doubled
headed entwined Hapsburg eagle and a crown form ceiling cap, now electrified.
