Late 19th/Early 20th Century
The first of the bust of the Mother of God with
a tooled halo, holding the thin figure of Jesus as
a child, enclosed by a strapwork border, bearing
a Cyrillic inscription; the second of two Saints,
delivering a blessing and holding the Book of
Gospels, both engraved with Cyrillic inscrip-
tions; the third, a small square traveling image of
a single Saint; the fourth mounted as a pendant
with images of Resurrection of Christ, The larg-
est marked 84 standard and Maker Mark HK; the
medium size icon marked with maker mark AA and
BC 1873 assay mark.
Dimensions of largest 9 x 7 x 1 1/4 inches (22.8 x
17.7 x 3.1 cm).

Late 19th/Early 20th Century
Of edifice form, the cover with a procession of
repousse figures of Saints interspersed with
lapis and other semi-precious stones, the sides
with angels; the front and back sides of the base
with Jesus in the clouds flanked by Saints, the
sides with Saints in niches, marked on base with
crescent, crown, crowned SR maker mark, and 800
touch marks.

Placide Poussielgue-Rusand (1824-1889)
The wide bell shaped bowl with an applied band fitted
with mine cut diamonds, pierced vine knob, mounted
on a trumpet stem, spreading to a circular dish form
foot rim with scenes from life of Christ, including
Baptism of Christ, Resurrection, the interior with gilt
vermeil wash; the lid engraved with Crucifixion of
Christ, inscribed “DON DE LA FAMILE VERCRUYSSE”,
maker mark, the chalice and the cover stamped with the
mercury bust.
