Handel Peacock Floor Lamp with Slag
Glass Shade
The cylindrical standard spreading to a reticulated
peacock feather foot, with a caramel slag glass petal
form panel canopy shade, the leaftip panels decorat-
ed with pendant beaded lengths, fitted with a nine
light socket, the base of lamp marked Handel 1833 in
raised relief.
Height 67 1/2 inches (171.5 cm); diameter of shade 24
inches (60.9 cm)

Circa 1915
The conical shade with a chipped glass exterior,
reverse painted on the interior sides with a continu-
ous design of a stormy seascape at dusk, divided by
two grassy mounds with trees, mounted on a
Chinese style fluted columnar base with a three light
socket, raised on a reticulated circular base imita-
tive of a carved hardwood stand, shade signed
“Handel 6743” and with felt cloth base with label, lamp
base #6553,

Circa 1915
The domical shade with a chipped glass exterior,
reverse painted on the interior sides with a mottled
blue border on a Persian border of alternating flow-
erheads and stylized leaves, raised on a gilt cold
painted tripod base with leafy feet with a three light
socket, shade signed “Handel 6747 GS”, felt bottom
with adhered Handel tag.

Handel Reverse Painted Shade Lamp
Circa 1919
The domical shade with yellow chipped glass, reverse painted on the interior
sides with a continuous vertical design of striated black and red bands over a
wide black band with peonies and birds of paradise; the baluster standard with a
three light socket cast in the Japanese style with birds and prunus blossoms in
raised relief on an ebonized lacquered ground spreading to a dish form base
simulating a carved hardwood base, fitted with an acorn finial, the shade marked
“Handel 6930”, labeled felt cloth.
Height 22 inches (55.8 cm); diameter of shade 18 inches (45.7 cm).

Handel Geometric Leaded Shade with Geometric Lamp Base
The octagonal paneled shade with radiating vertical tiles consisting of a pair of
mottled semi-opaque adorsed by thinner brown bands, the lighter tiles finished
in an outer border featuring amethyst triangular cabochon tiles, raised on a
geometric paneled base cast with interlocking triangles, the center shaft with a
cluster of three lights, felt base with cloth tag.
Height inches 22 (55.8 cm); diameter of shade 20 1/2 inches (52 cm).
