(C) That's some maneuver, you think, and you tap him on the
shoulder and say, "Look, I was here first. If you want to
buck the line, get in behind me if they'll let you. No way
are you cutting me off!"

The Waiter with the Water

You're in a restaurant, and after the waiter takes your order
you ask him for a glass of water. He starts serving the meal
without getting it, and you ask again. Again he forgets it, and
his attitude is very unpleasant. Finally, and gracelessly, he
brings the water, but you've quite lost your thirst for it.

(A) You're really burned up by all of this, but who wants to
make a scene? You leave a very small tip to show how
you feel.
(B) You don't wait for the meal to be served. Once you understand
that this waiter is unpleasant and giving you minimal service,
you get up and walk out of the restaurant.
(C) You tell the waiter off in no uncertain terms and demand
to see the maitre d' or the manager, explain the situation,
and ask for an apology and another waiter.

The New Neighbors

The empty house next door has finally been sold, and a new
family has moved in. They appear to be about your age.
(A) You wait for some natural situation to occur, a situation
that will allow you to meet them casually.
