Dana White, King of MMA

(Sean Pound) #1

After a few minutes, George caught his breath and was able to call up to Dana
telling him to lower himself over the edge and start climbing down the rocks. As Dana
began to climb over the rocks and down the cliff, George lit his towel on fire so Dana
could see where he was going. I don’t know how they were able to find their way
from that point, but they did. I was so mad at my brothers for dragging Dana out
there without calling me, I was ready to kill both of them.
As Dana’s sixteenth birthday approached, he came to me and asked what kind of
car I would be buying for him for his birthday. He said, “All the kids at school were
getting beamers or SUVs.” I told him, “I can’t buy one of those for myself, never mind
for you.” I said, “You will not be getting a car of any variety from me.” After a few

school friend was riding with him in the passenger’s seat. Dana made a right turn and
his passenger was nearly ejected from the jeep. It took everything for him to grab
onto the roll bar and hang on for dear life. The seat was not bolted to the floor, it
wasn’t attached to anything. The next day Dana drove The Beast to a friend’s house,
when he arrived and turned the car off; he realized smoke was coming from under the
hood. The engine was on fire and the fire department had to respond.
The Jeep was still drivable and the following day we took the Beast back to the
car lot where Dana had purchased it. I told the owner of the car lot that he needed
to take care of all the problems with the car or return Dana’s money. The owner told
us to leave the Jeep and he would see that the problems were addressed. The dealer
never repaired anything on the jeep and then refused to return Dana’s money. Dana
ended up with no car and no two thousand dollars, which he had used for the down
payment on the jeep, and he still had the bank loan on the car. If nothing else, I can
