The Volume of a Pyramid


The volume of a pyramid is a third of the volume of a right prism that
has the same base and height measurements.
The volume of a pyramid = ^13 (area of its base) ×(height).


The sum of the volumes of three pyramids with square bases will equal the
volume of a cube that has the same dimensions:
