501 Geometry Questions

(Jacob Rumans) #1
“If there is any one secret of success,
it lies in the ability to get the other person’s point of view
and see things from that person’s angle as well as from your own.”
—Henry Ford

When Henry Ford talksabout understanding some else’s “angle,” he
is referring to their perspective. There are an infinite number of perspec-
tives that exist, and the number of angles that can exist is also infinite.
What is notinfinite, however, is how we categorize angles. In this chap-
ter, you will learn how to classify all types of angles by their measurements.

The Parts of an Angle

Remember chapter 1 defined an angleas two rays sharing an endpoint and
extending infinitely in different directions. The common endpoint is called
the vertex. The rays are each called sides.
