The line y= 3 + 2xis the same as the original line, 6x+ 3y= 9, but it is
just in a different format. Once yis by itself, it is easy to find points that sat-
isfy this equation and are on the line. This is done by plugging in values for
xand then solving for yas is shown in the table below:


This table shows that the points (0,3), (4,11), and (–1,1) all sit on the line
–6x+ 3y= 9, which is the same as line y= 3 + 2x.
