I

have just finished hoop-framing a tiny project

sent to Wishes Granted in your magazine.

Bobby B was my ‘flatmate’, but after a good year,

he got old and passed away. I wrote in and asked

Jenny to chart him and I was so happy to find him in

your magazine! Here he is now, in full framed glory and

hanging on my notice board. Thanks to Jenny for a brilliant

effort on her design.

Jo Arnell, via email

Sue: It must be really exciting for you, Jo, to see Bobby B

in a custom design in the magazine, and now again in your

completed cross stitching! Thanks so much for your email.

Gold leaf

A

utumn is my favourite

season of the year and I

wanted to share with you my

most amazing cross stitched

leaf. It’s a Dimensions kit from

the Reflections collection

called ‘Golden Thought’. When

I saw this kit I knew I had to

buy it, but when I eventually

stitched it, I fell in love! This is

the magic of Dimensions kits –

they turn out even better than

you expect.

Anna Szwedzinska,

The Netherlands

Emily: We love Autumn, too,

Anna! What a fab design with

intricate shading and texture.

H

ere is my finished design, for my friend’s birthday.

My mum was kind enough to finish it off beautifully,

as she is a whizz at doing things like this. It wasn’t a quick

project with all that backstitch on it, which isn’t my favourite

thing, but I did persevere and this is the result! Thanks for all

the advice in the magazines over the years.

Anna Baynton, via email

Tina: We like that you stuck with it and got the project

done, Anna, as it’s such a pretty design. Plus, how clever

and kind is your mum to help with it? Great teamwork!

SEEING IS BELIEVING

A

big hello to The World

of Cross Stitching. I have

just finished this birth sampler

for my friend’s niece. They

wanted it done for her by

Christmas and I managed to

get it finished before then.

I’m very proud of it and how

it has turned out in the end.

I thought I’d send a photo

of it to share with you, as

it is certainly my best piece

to date. I have been cross

stitching for years, and I really

love it as a hobby and as

something I can do for others,

to give as keepsakes.

Kimberley Taylor,

Scotland

Hannah: Fantastic work,

Kimberley. What little princess

wouldn’t adore this amazing

birth sampler, with Cinderella,

Belle, Ariel, Jasmine, Sleeping

Beauty and Snow White?

Lots of little girls love these

magical, happily-ever-after

Disney Princesses, and this

special gift is something your

friend’s niece can cherish

beyond her childhood.

I love the colourful

lettering you’ve chosen for

the name – with so many

bright colours, no wonder

you enjoyed this project. Do

keep your finished project pics

coming and let us know what

else you’re working on!
