Lighthouse chart (bottom left)
To create the effect of movement in the sea and the
ferocious, crashing waves against the lighthouse, Fiona
has used half stitches in two different directions. These are
listed separately on the key with the five shades of blue
thread used in half cross stitch in two strands facing right
with their own key symbols, and the same five shades of
blue thread used in half cross stitch in two strands facing
left have their own key symbols. Pay close attention to
which symbols are left or right half stitch.

I’m looking forward to using the glow-in-
the-dark thread in this project as that would
be something new for me to try. I think
this scene would be very nice framed and
displayed in my bathroom.
