7 SSD

NOW THAT THE MAIN CHUNK of the PC is sitting securely in
place, we can add our SSD into the back of the case. Our NZXT
H510 Flow has two 2.5-inch brackets on the back of the case. It
doesn’t matter which one you use, it just depends on how much
cable you have and if you want to keep things neat and tidy.
To stick the drive into the bracket, unscrew the top screw
first then the bracket should pop off. We can then slide our PNY
CS900 2.5-inch drive into this bracket and pop it back onto the
case. Once on, secure it fully with the top screw. Be sure not to
put it upside down, as you won’t have access to the connection
port. We hook up our SATA 3.0 cable to the SSD and feed it
through to the front, ready to connect it back to the mobo.

8 CONNECTING THE VEINS

WITH ALL THE connecting motherboard components now in,
it makes sense to route the case cables to the motherboard.
When routing any cables, make sure to thread them through
the most convenient point possible, as this helps with cable
management down the line. Custom cables would help to keep
this neater but we have little budget for them in a sub-$600
machine. As it turns out, connecting was a breeze— this case
has plenty of slots you can feed cables through at the bottom,
which makes things easier. If you’re unsure where to connect
your cables, always refer back to the manuals—as much as we
think we don’t need them, they are there to help.
