9 THE POWER SUPPLY

THE REST OF THE CABLES on this build come from our Corsair
CV450 PSU. As it’s a non-modular unit, we won’t have the usual
problems of installing it first and finding it hard to connect up
the cables later. So we’ll kick things off by securing it to the
case. We were having a bit of trouble connecting one of the top
screws and could only use three. However, it was nothing to
worry about as, even with three screws, this thing isn’t going
anywhere in a hurry. Once in place, we pulled the cables all
together ready to connect them to the motherboard.

10 THE FINAL CABLES

FOR THIS RATHER minimal build, we will only be using the
main motherboard cable, CPU cable, and SATA for the SSD.
The trickiest one is mainly the CPU connector, as this sits in the
top left of most motherboards, including our MSI MAG B560M
MORTAR WIFI. It can often be a tough squeeze but, luckily, we
had enough room in this case to feed it through and clip it into
the connector. The 24-pin motherboard connector wasn’t too
much of an issue either, as we managed to feed it straight to
the side and out the back of the case through one of the many
convenient slots in this H510 Flow case.
