society” and religion we all live by? Siddharameshwar
clearly states all the spiritual and religious ideas
separate us from the totality of life and the world by
setting us apart, making some actions and ideals pure,
good, impure, or of far more relevance today, being
politically correct and offending no one.
I do it myself. I tell people not to eat meat. But
this is my own way. It made me feel better about
myself once I knew animals were not dying to keep me
alive, and in a sense, I set myself apart by taking this
stance. But it is a separation I can live with because I
accept the goal of nonviolence.
