the nature and extent of the changes, either: the solutions required to accom-
plish this transition are not mutually exclusive to one or two of your depart-
ments or processes. Rather, you should anticipate implementing green
methodologies across the entirety of your corporate ecosystem, top to
bottom and side to side.
To do so, you want to consider the following matters:
Protecting your employees, customers, and neighbors
Reducing risks of occupational incidents and unauthorized releases of
substances
Preserving and, whenever possible, enhancing the environment
Developing and installing a single, integrated platform that enables you
to effectively monitor your GRC and environmental health and safety
processes
Complying with a burgeoning complex of regulations
Improving your company’s overall flexibility and transparency
Providing near real-time reporting to all regulatory agencies
With more than 250 new environmental directives and standards around the
world in 2006 alone, it is critical that your business deploy more open stan-
dards, flexible communications, and compliance support. The more you do,
and the faster you do it, the more easily you can reach across multiple envi-
ronmental regulations and regional variations, and the more manufacturers,
dealers, suppliers, customers, and regulatory authorities will want to work
with you. At the end of the day, you will all be benefiting the environment and
each other, and you will be doing it while speaking the same green language.
