Thermal Product Solutions Acquires
Wisconsin Oven
Thermal Product Solutions (TPS) acquiredWisconsin Oven Corp., a leading
manufacturer of custom industrial ovens used for heat treating, finishing, drying and
curing. Wisconsin Oven offers products for the aerospace, automotive, composites,
energy, military and pharmaceutical industries. TPS is a global leader in thermal-
processing products and test solutions with brands including BlueM, Gruenberg,
Tenney, Lindberg, MPH and now Wisconsin Oven.

U.S. Steel to Build EAF, Coupling Facility in Alabama
United States Steel Corp. announced that it will build a technologically advanced
electric-arc furnace (EAF) steelmaking facility at its Fairfield Works in Birmingham,
Ala. The company will also construct a tubular products coupling facility at Fairfield
Works to manufacture couplings with premium, semi-premium and American
Petroleum Institute (API) connections for customers in the oil and gas industry. The
two projects, which are expected to create approximately 650 temporary construction
jobs, are valued at $277.5 million. Construction of the EAF will begin in the second
quarter of 2015 and is expected to be complete in the third quarter of 2016.

portable system for on-site testing.

single start lever and the measurement will

vibration, and it does not need to be leveled.

Grede to Invest in Heat^ Treatment
Gredeplans to invest more than $20 million and hire
more than 35 new employees over the next three years
at its Biscoe, N.C., facility to support its commercial
vehicle business. The investment will be used for
heat treatment and machining services as well as
the addition of 26,000 square feet of manufacturing
space. The project will also include three new molding
machines and handling systems.

Linde Opens New Combustion Center
in China
The Linde Group launched its combustion center in
Suzhou in an effort to develop new combustion and
heat-treatment applications and solutions in China
and the Asia Pacific region. The Linde Combustion
Centre will drive research-and-development initiatives
in partnership with metal and research institutes in
projects to develop green combustion technologies and
improve heat-treatment processes – particularly for
carburizing and sintering – geared toward future and
sustainable applications.
