During a masterclass, it’s important to play along,
explore and experiment with the techniques of the
instructor—to sample an approach other than your own.
Even if it might feel like you’re copying sometimes, and
even if you’re thinking that it may not be an approach
you’ll use going forward, the only way to know whether or
not a technique works for you is to experience it fi rsthand.
By doing so, you’ll feel better prepared to develop your
own painting style, which is the main objective. WA
