ity.It’snotfealtytothelocationthathe’safter,butclarity
ofconcept.“Thesimplerthestatement,themorepowerit
has,”hesays.“Morestuffweakensthestatement.Howcan
I implycomplexitywithoutrenderingit?That’stheangle
I’mcomingfrom.I’mnotgoingtoduplicatewhat’sout
there.Thefewershapes,thegreaterthepower.”
Perhapsthemostsurprisingaspectofhiswork,though,
isthemark-making.TakethebroadviewseeninEvening
