the mural was under 2 feet of
water as a result of the
massive Thames flood of
1928, but it survived and has
recently been cleaned.
Doloranda has come by coach
from her home in
Gloucestershire and she’s
brought some examples from
her mother’s extensive
archives. There’s a clink of
cutlery and a chink of wine
glasses from the lunch party
at the table next to us, a
