Biography. It was only very
recently that he was able to
update Agnes’ entry. After
her first husband died she
married again and then,
widowed for a second time,
she moved in with her son,
William. In 1948 the family
sailed for South Africa and
settled in Port Elizabeth.
Agnes Beckwith died at the
age of ninety at Nazareth
House, a care home run by
Nazarene nuns, in 1951. She
