Downstream

So I’ve been a bit slower than
I thought, although I have had
quite a few stops and floats.
But I can speed up now, I
don’t have to worry about
getting tired and suddenly it
feels like the most brilliant
day to be swimming round a
dock.
A man helps me out of the
water and on to the exit ramp.
I’m a bit dazed; although I
don’t feel the euphoria I had
with my upper Thames swim.
