longest naturally straight
stretch of the Thames
(although it has been
artificially extended) and at
almost a mile long it’s perfect
for all sorts of races.
At the water’s edge families
feed ducks, a sign advertises
twelve-seater ‘Edwardian
style chauffeured launches’
