‘I think Granny was quite the
amazing woman and it still
boggles my mind that she did
what she did’.
Now, at last, I was to find
out more about her
grandmother’s life. Eileen
Lee was born in Sheffield on
27 October 1895, the second
eldest of thirteen children.
